Three Day Trip to Wales
As an option after the main Conference, consider the Three Day Side Trip Extension to Wales. Available as an add-on to the main Conference price, you will depart Winchester on Monday, 17 July 2017, at approximately 8.15am and be on your way to Wells Cathedral, arriving at 10.15am. You will be there through lunch and depart Wells at 2.00pm to arrive at the magnificent church of St. Mary, Redcliffe, in Bristol. Time to hear the organ is arranged before departing Bristol to arrive at the Village Hotel Swansea, Wales, for dinner and overnight accommodation.
On Tuesday, 18 July 2017, you will depart Swansea to arrive at St. David's on the most westerly point in Wales. While there, experience guided tours of the Cathedral as well as the Bishop's Palace. After lunch on your own, return to the Cathedral for Choral Evensong followed by an evening meal, arriving back at the Village Hotel by approximately 10.00pm.
On day three, Wednesday, 19 July 2017, you will leave the Hotel to arrive Brecon Cathedral at 10.00am (interior at left). Eucharist will be celebrated in the Cathedral at 11.00am, after which a buffet lunch will be enjoyed. Departing Brecon at 1.00pm, the tour will make its way to Gloucester Cathedral to arrive at approximately 2.45pm. Coaches will depart Gloucester at 5.15 to return you either to the Royal Winchester Hotel (for those extending for the Southern Cathedrals Hotel Package) or the Heathrow Renaissance Hotel (for those making their way back home via Heathrow airport).
